Temporary Art for Your Community
logo: Lydia Stein
Thanks to a grant from the Rhode Island State Council for the Arts, and the support of neighborhood Community Development Corporations all over Providence, theHousEART Project will be creating large-scale, high quality temporary art on five foreclosed homes all over the city this spring. They are looking for artists to design and lead on each of the HousEART artworks. For more info: http://www.smithhillcdc.org/artproject
This is a great way to get involved with the local community and do some large scale work! Designers will receive a $400 stipend!
Previous HousEART projects:
Lynne Harlow’s design at 515 Chalkstone Ave.
Michelle Peckham’s (MIA ’10) design for 9 Osborne Street.
