Six of Interior architecture students and six of ceramic student have been collaborate in an advanced studio. The studio eventually will install a permanent intervention in the Ceramics office in the Metcalf Building, RISD. Students are having great opportunity to share their expertise and explore each other.
Through the last four weeks, students paired up with each other and have been working on the arch structural type of design. Also, they are developing their design scheme based on the observation to the site that would be applied in the office. While they came up with the idea, Interior Architecture students had chance to engage in hand-on experience with clay and Ceramic students were exposed to conventional architecture drawings and model by hands and the computer.
